About SPGlobalLeadsKaikoRound
S&P Global led a strategic investment in Kaiko, bringing its Series B to $110M. BNP Paribas, Nasdaq Ventures, Coinbase Ventures, DRW VC, RBC, and Stellar co-invested to build data infrastructure for tokenized markets. On-chain 24/7 trading requires continuous pricing, valuation, and compliance data. This signals index providers, banks, and trading firms competing for on-chain data standards. Will traditional finance fill the data layer gap for RWA scale, or concentrate on-chain pricing power?

#Wall_Street isn’t buying a token this time. It’s buying the measuring tape.
#Crypto-data firm #Kaiko raised $110M, led by $S&P Global, with $Nasdaq, $BNP Paribas, $RBC, $Bpifrance and Susquehanna joining. Kaiko already tracks 150+ exchanges and protocols.
The signal: institutions are spending real money on the infrastructure needed to price tokenized markets not just speculate on them.

Crypto data provider Kaiko has extended its Series B funding round to $110 million, with S&P Global leading the investment and BNP Paribas, Coinbase Ventures, Nasdaq, Royal Bank of Canada and Stellar among the other participants. The company framed the raise as a sign of convergence between digital and traditional finance, saying it shows institutions running today's capital markets are investing in the data infrastructure required to operate tokenized markets.
The round dates back to May 2022, when Kaiko announced a $53 million Series B that tripled its valuation. That valuation remains undisclosed. A year earlier, the firm closed a $24 million Series A led by Anthemis and Underscore VC. Kaiko did not immediately respond to a CoinDesk request for further information.
Founded in France in 2014, Kaiko said the new money will expand its data infrastructure to support the growth of 24/7 digital markets and strengthen its data business and product offering, which serves more than 150 exchanges and blockchain protocols. "Digital asset markets operate 24/7, and the infrastructure supporting them must do the same," the firm said.

Tokenized markets can trade around the clock; credible valuation has to keep up.
S&P Global leading the investment that brings Kaiko's Series B to $110M puts the data layer in focus. My read: institutional backing could help close that gap, but scale will depend on whether pricing standards remain open to competition. Shared infrastructure and concentrated pricing power can grow together.

S&P Global has led a strategic investment in crypto data company Kaiko, extending its Series B to $110 million.
The bigger story isn't just the funding.
Traditional financial infrastructure companies are increasingly investing directly in the data and infrastructure powering digital assets.
