Balaji's network school is going to be shut down.
The official explanation is that networkschool only holds an office license but was unauthorizedly changed for teaching and enrollment purposes. Without an MBIP business license, it is considered illegal operation.
However, the real reason is deeper.
The area where networkschool is located is on the border between Malaysia and Singapore, a border gateway. There are reports that Israeli nationals may have concealed their identities through dual citizenship and using other countries' passports to enter illegally and have been residing long-term at network school.
The closure of network school is highly related to immigration, religion, and cultural issues, not because of crypto.
In June this year, I went to network to attend the base residency hosted by base. The whole island was quiet and comfortable, very suitable for closed development and entrepreneurship. The atmosphere was excellent.
You can take a bus from Singapore to networkschool. The building in the third photo is the high-rise of Forest City (mostly abandoned).
I hope all the good with network school but worried this is a common practice of certain governments- in China they do Fire departments examination first…

Network School is not shutting down; that’s fake news.
We received two notices. The first tells us to change the text of a sign. The second says that our coworking site, which was created by joining two adjacent units, evidently has a valid license on the left hand side but not the right hand side.
We have a remedial period for both issues, and will remediate them shortly. But our members are otherwise unaffected.
Web3 Consumer/Social is definitely the correct path to go; just Base App and prev Farcaster team did not understand the fundamentals and had few big mistakes.
You need to be super young and nomad all over the world to conquer ‘Social’. If both Vitalik and Facebook Zuck can speak Chinese fluently, web3 social founder need to be at least multi lingual and nomadic rock star to qualify.
