What is cryptocurrency?

Neben RippleNet überwacht das Unternehmen auch das XRP Ledger – ein dezentrales Blockchain-Netzwerk, in dem XRP der native Krypto-Token ist. Wichtig dabei ist: RippleNet dient als unternehmensbezogene Blockchain-Lösung und benötigt XRP nicht zwingend für den Betrieb.
Im Gegensatz zum Bitcoin-Netzwerk, bei dem jeder Transaktionen durch das Lösen komplexer mathematischer Aufgaben validieren kann, muss man als XRP-Validator auf der von XRP verwalteten Unique Node List aufgeführt sein. XRP-Token sind vorab gemined– das bedeutet, dass alle 100 Milliarden Token gleichzeitig erstellt wurden und nach und nach freigegeben werden.
