Don't treat every conflict as "lack of communication." Often, it's not that you haven't explained clearly, but that the other party is simply not playing by the same rules. You are clearly already drained, yet you keep trying to get a decent outcome by "reasoning, explaining, and waiting for a response." But the problem is, if the other party is inherently illogical, disrespectful to you, and doesn't care about the quality of the relationship, no matter how much you explain, you're just keeping yourself stuck in the drain. Before communicating, first judge whether the other party is qualified to communicate. If the other party is well-intentioned, logical, and willing to take responsibility, then reasoning makes sense. If the other party is just avoiding, shirking, giving the cold shoulder, or manipulating you, then continuing to explain is self-exhaustion. Maturity is not about always making yourself clear, but knowing when you no longer need to say anything.
