What is the Auto-Confirm feature in OKX Wallet?

The Auto-Confirm feature in OKX Wallet is designed to streamline your trading experience. When you place a market order or limit order, the system can automatically complete the signature confirmation. You do not need to enter your password, use biometric authentication such as face or fingerprint recognition, or activate the browser extension to sign each time. This makes the trading process faster and smoother.

Trade without repeated verification: move faster with Auto-Confirm

What are the benefits of using Auto-Confirm?

  • Faster transaction execution — By removing repeated verification steps, Auto-Confirm helps transactions proceed more quickly, so you can respond faster to market movements.

  • A smoother trading flow — Enjoy a seamless Web3 trading experience similar to that of a centralized exchange, with fewer interruptions while you focus on trading decisions.

  • Security safeguards in the background — Auto-Confirm combines convenience with safeguards such as safe active periods and daily trade limits. OKX does not custody your funds or private keys. The feature only simplifies the transaction confirmation process and does not change the self-custodial nature of your wallet.

FAQ

1. Is Auto-Confirm safe? How is my security protected?

Security is a top priority in the design of Auto-Confirm. The feature uses multiple risk-control measures to help protect your transactions:

  • Device-level binding: Auto-Confirm only works on the verified device you are currently using. If you switch devices, you must re-import your wallet using your seed phrase or re-authenticate with your password.

  • App active period: on the app, Auto-Confirm only remains available while the app is active. If the app stays in the background beyond a specified period, the app process is closed, or the active period expires, the first subsequent transaction requires biometric authentication again.

  • App security checks and daily limits: the app checks whether the device is in a risky state, such as when potentially malicious software is installed. Auto-Confirm is unavailable when a risk is detected. Auto-Confirm transactions are also subject to a daily limit. Transactions above the limit require manual confirmation, and the limit resets daily at 00:00 UTC.

  • Extension wallet lock: in the browser extension, Auto-Confirm only works when placing orders through the official OKX Wallet website while the wallet is unlocked. Once the wallet is locked, Auto-Confirm is paused until the wallet is unlocked again. You can adjust the lock time and manage Auto-Confirm under Settings > Wallet Lock.

These measures are intended to balance convenience with wallet security.

2. Which transactions support Auto-Confirm, and which do not?

Supported networks

  • App: SOL and all EVM-compatible networks

  • Web: SOL, SUI, and all EVM-compatible networks

Supported transactions

  • Web — Trader Mode: Auto-Confirm is enabled by default and cannot be turned off. It applies to market orders, limit orders, and order management operations.

  • Web — EOA accounts: Users can enable or disable Auto-Confirm through Settings > Wallet Lock > Auto-Confirm in the browser extension.

  • App — Trader Mode: Auto-Confirm is enabled by default and cannot be turned off. It applies to market orders, limit orders, and order management operations.

  • App — EOA accounts: Users must enable Auto-Confirm manually. Once enabled, it applies to market orders.

Not supported

Auto-Confirm does not apply to:

  • Token transfers

  • Token approval transactions

  • NFT or DeFi transactions

  • Other unsupported scenarios

3. Can I disable Auto-Confirm?

  • Trader Mode: Auto-Confirm is enabled by default and cannot be disabled on either the web or the app.

  • EOA accounts in the browser extension: Go to Settings > Wallet Lock > Auto-Confirm to turn it off.

  • EOA accounts on the app: On the DEX page, go to Settings > Auto-Confirm to turn it off.

4. Why am I sometimes still prompted to verify manually after enabling Auto-Confirm?

This is a security measure. The system may require biometric authentication or your password in situations such as:

  • The first transaction after the app active period expires

  • The first transaction after the browser extension wallet is unlocked

  • A transaction that exceeds the daily limit

  • A scenario in which the system detects a potential security risk

Examples of higher-risk device environments

Auto-Confirm may be disabled if the system detects software or device modifications that could alter app behavior, including:

  • Plugin frameworks such as Xposed or LSPosed

  • Network packet capture or debugging tools such as HttpCanary

  • App cloning or multi-instance tools

  • A rooted device with certain system plugins installed

How to resolve the issue?

  1. Uninstall or disable the relevant software.

  2. Restart your device.

  3. Reopen the app. Auto-Confirm should become available again if the risk condition has been cleared.

If you are unsure which app or tool caused the issue, disable the suspected tools one at a time and restart your device after each change.

Why is this necessary?

These tools may be able to modify transaction details in the background, such as the recipient address or amount. The information displayed to you could appear correct even if the actual transaction has been altered. When this type of risk is detected, the system requires you to confirm each transaction manually to help prevent asset theft. Your ability to transact is not affected; an additional confirmation step is simply required.

5. Why can't I use Auto-Confirm?

You can first check that your app or browser extension is updated to the latest version. Also check whether your device has software installed that may modify app behavior. If Auto-Confirm is still unavailable, contact OKX Assistant for further support.
