Typical Signs of the Later Stage of a Bear Market
The signs are becoming increasingly clear.
$BTC ’s share of short-term holders continues to decline.
This isn’t necessarily random. Similar patterns have appeared toward the later stages of previous bear markets:
• Fewer short-term traders remain active
• New capital becomes noticeably less aggressive
• Overall market attention and discussion decline sharply
At the same time, more coins gradually move into the hands of long-term holders.
And perhaps the hardest part of a bear market isn’t the daily sell-offs.
It’s what happens near the end of the decline:
People simply stop talking about the market.
When interest disappears, trading activity dries up, and everyone becomes tired of waiting, the market can enter its quietest phase.
That’s why one indicator I’ll be watching closely is the short-term holder ratio.
If it eventually bottoms out and starts rising again, it could signal that:
New participants are returning.
Fresh demand is coming back.
Market attention is recovering.
The bottom is rarely announced in advance.
It’s usually built through patience, time, and endurance.
