Preparations before selling crypto
Before selling crypto, kindly complete the following steps:
Complete identity verification;
Bind email and phone number;
Bind at least one payment method, such as a bank card, WeChat Pay, or Alipay. You can also bind multiple payment methods at the same time. If you are unable to bind one of the methods, please use a verified real-name receiving account for either of the other two methods.

How do I receive payments?
Please set up your receiving account before accepting payments. The buyers will make the payment according to your receiving account information. After payment, buyers will mark the order as buyer has paid.
At this point, you need to check your receiving account to confirm if you have received the funds. If you have received the payment, kindly tap I have received the transfer and OKX will release your crypto to the buyer.

What should I pay attention to when receiving payments?
After the buyer has made the payment, kindly log in to your recipient account to verify that the transfer has been received.
Notes:
Do not trust payment SMS messages or transfer screenshots sent by the buyer as proof.
Do not trust anyone claiming to be customer service asking you to release your crypto.
Only click I have received the payment after you have confirmed the payment in your account.
Can I use a non-real-name payment method to receive payments?
According to OKX regulations, regular users must use a payment method that matches their verified identity when receiving funds. This means you cannot use someone else’s payment QR code or an unverified payment method. This rule helps ensure transaction security and compliance.
However, if you are a platform merchant, OKX allows the usage of unverified payment methods.
Note: the payment account’s verified information must match your identity verification's details. Do not use someone else’s account to make or receive payments.

Express
Express is a convenient, one-stop way for users to buy or sell cryptocurrency. It automatically matches you with the best available P2P market prices for your trades.
P2P
P2P is a peer-to-peer market that allows users to buy and sell digital assets, such as BTC, ETH, and other cryptocurrencies, directly with each other using fiat currency. To complete a transaction, users must send or receive funds directly using their preferred payment method or app.
VIP trading
VIP trading is an exclusive trading area on OKX which designed for official VIP users. It primarily supports VIP trading scenarios and offers up to 200,000 USDT in frozen-funds protection.
FAQ about Selling Crypto
What should I do when the buyer selected I have paid but I still haven't received the payment?
If the other party clicks 'I have completed payment' and you have not received the funds after 5 minutes, you can submit a dispute.
If 5 minutes have passed since the buyer selected I have paid and you still haven’t received the payment, you can submit a dispute.
If the buyer does not follow the rule of transferring first and then selecting I have paid, or the transfer cannot arrive within 1 hour, you can also submit a dispute.
Do not click I have received the payment unless you have actually received the funds to avoid potential loss.
What should I do if the buyer keeps urging for the release of crypto?
Before selecting I have received the payment to release crypto, please always check your receiving account (such as your bank account) to confirm that the payment has actually arrived.
If you haven’t received the payment, please do not release the crypto. Instead, kindly communicate with the buyer through chat.
How do I cancel a sell order?
In a sell order, the seller cannot cancel an order on their own once it has been generated.
Orders have a payment waiting period. If the buyer does not make payment within this time, the order will be canceled automatically after timeout.
If you need to cancel an order before payment, you must contact the buyer through the chat to request for cancellation from buyer's end.
If the buyer has already paid, the transaction cannot be canceled.
