This article applies to OKX Card in the EEA. For Brazil, see: OKX Card Brazil.

The OKX Card at a glance

The OKX Card is a crypto-backed payment card for everyday spending across the European Economic Area (EEA). It lets you pay using supported stablecoins like USDC and USDG held in your OKX Pay account, while merchants receive payment through the Mastercard® network.

  • Automatic conversion: Your balance is converted to EUR at the moment of purchase, so merchants receive fiat like with any regular card.

  • Fees: OKX doesn’t charge card transaction fees or FX fees; when conversion happens, a 0.1% market spread applies.

  • Cashback: During the first 30 days after launch, eligible users can earn up to 20% cashback on qualifying USDG purchases (subject to caps and terms shown in the OKX app).

  • Card type: The card is currently virtual and can be added to Apple Pay/Google Pay.

  • Issuance standards: Issued in line with applicable European regulatory standards.

What “crypto-backed” means in practice

With the OKX Card, you’re not sending crypto to a merchant on-chain. Instead, payments work in a way that stays familiar to merchants and simple for daily use:

  • You fund payments using your supported stablecoin balance in OKX Pay.

  • The purchase is processed through Mastercard like a normal card transaction.

  • The merchant receives fiat settlement (typically EUR), as with any standard card payment.

This model is designed to keep the user experience straightforward for everyday payments while using stablecoins as the funding source.

Where you can use it

You can use the OKX Card online and in-store, anywhere Mastercard® is accepted, subject to merchant acceptance and certain restricted merchant categories.
