Paid Ads is a paid placement feature that enables eligible OKX P2P merchants to boost the visibility of their trading offers. Paid Ad listings appear at the top of P2P search results, giving merchants greater exposure to buyers in their target market.

How does the bidding work?

Merchants place bids in USDT for a 24-hour display slot. The minimum bid amount is 20 USDT, and slots are awarded to the highest bidder. When selecting your desired slot(s), you may choose any available time from the current week up to the following week.

How the bidding page looks like and where you can pick your time slot

When placing your bid, you have two options:

  • Uniform bid — apply the same bid amount across all your selected time slots

Select the Same bid for all option

  • Custom bid — set a different bid amount for each individual time slot.and

You can also select the Custom bid option for the process of setting the bid amounts

Upon submission, the bid amount will be frozen and held until the outcome is determined — deducted if the bid is won, or returned in full if unsuccessful.

When will I know if I've won?

Winners are announced 12 hours before the chosen time slot begins. You can check the result under Bids > Bid History.

Select My bids and check the Bid history option

FAQ

1. Is the bidding process open or closed?

The bidding process is closed. Merchants are unable to view other merchants' bids during the bidding period, ensuring a fair and independent experience for all participants.

2. How is pricing regulated?

To safeguard buyers, all Paid Ad offers must remain within ±10% of the prevailing mid-market rate for the relevant currency pair. Offers that fall outside this range will not be eligible for Paid Ad placement.

3. When does my Paid Ad slot go live?

Your Paid Ad listing goes live at the start of the specific slot you bid on. Please ensure that you have set the relevant ad as paid ad first, and it'll be activated automatically. Make sure your offer is active and ready before the slot begins.

4. What happens if my bid is unsuccessful?

If you are outbid, the frozen bid amount will be returned to your account in full. You will receive a notification and may place a new bid for an upcoming available slot.

5. Can I cancel a confirmed bid?

You may withdraw your bid before the slot closure deadline. Once a slot has closed, bids are final and can no longer be cancelled.

6. If my Paid Ad is paused due to price deviation, will it be removed from the marketplace?

No. The ad will remain visible in the marketplace but will no longer appear as a Paid Ad. It will revert to standard marketplace ad ranking rules until the price is updated to meet Paid Ad requirements again.

7. What if my eligibility status changes after I win a bid?

OKX reserves the right to remove a merchant's Paid Ad placement if they no longer meet the eligibility requirements during an active slot. Violations of OKX P2P rules or platform policies may also result in the immediate removal of the Paid Ad placement.

8. How will I be notified of my bidding outcome?

Merchants will be notified of their bidding outcome via email. Please ensure your registered email address is up to date to receive timely notifications.
