EEA VIP Referral Campaign Terms and conditions
Effective date: 15 Sep 2026
The OKX VIP Referral Program (the “Promotion”) is offered by OKX Europe Limited, a company registered in Malta and authorised by the Malta Financial Services Authority as a crypto-asset service provider (“OKX”, “we”, “us” or “our”).
By participating in the Promotion, you agree to these Terms and Conditions (the “Promotion Terms”) and the OKX EEA Terms of Service (the “Terms of Service”). If there is any conflict between these Promotion Terms and the Terms of Service in relation to the Promotion, these Promotion Terms prevail. The Promotion is separate from the standard OKX referral program, which is subject to its own terms.
1. Promotion Period and availability
1.1. The Promotion begins on 15 Sep 2026 and continues until withdrawn by OKX in accordance with clause 10 (the “Promotion Period”).
1.2. The Promotion is available only in selected countries within the European Economic Area (the “EEA”) and only to users for whom the VIP Referral feature is made available in the OKX app or on the OKX website. The Promotion may not be available in every EEA country or to every OKX user. Product and service availability remains subject to the Terms of Service and applicable law.
1.3. Participation is free. No purchase or payment is required to create a VIP Referral binding. An Invitee must, however, satisfy the applicable VIP qualifying criteria to become a Qualified Invitee under clause 4.
2. Definitions
In these Promotion Terms:
“Campaign Page” means the VIP Referral page in the OKX app , including the reward and eligibility information displayed there;
“Calendar Quarter” means each three-month period ending on 31 March, 30 June, 30 September or 31 December;
“Invitee” means an eligible person invited to the Promotion by a VIP Referrer;
“Qualified Invitee” has the meaning given in clause 4;
“Trial VIP” means a user who has temporarily received an OKX VIP tier, including through a VIP Trial Card;
“VIP” means a user holding verified OKX VIP1 status or above under the applicable OKX VIP Program rules, excluding status held solely as a Trial VIP unless these Promotion Terms expressly provide otherwise;
“VIP Referral Binding” means the association established between a VIP Referrer and an Invitee under clause 3; and
“VIP Referrer” means an eligible VIP or Trial VIP participating in the Promotion as a referrer.
3. Eligibility and referral binding
3.1. To participate as a VIP Referrer, you must:
hold a verified OKX account registered with an OKX entity in the EEA;
have completed the identity-verification checks required by OKX;
be a VIP or Trial VIP when making the referral; and
be able to access the VIP Referral feature through your OKX account.
3.2. An Invitee must hold, or open and successfully verify, an eligible OKX account registered with an OKX entity in the EEA. An Invitee must be either:
a new user who has never previously registered for an OKX account; or
an existing OKX user who is not currently a VIP or Trial VIP and either (i) has never held VIP or Trial VIP status or (ii) most recently ceased to hold VIP or Trial VIP status at least 180 days before establishing the VIP Referral Binding.
3.3. An existing OKX user already bound under the standard OKX referral program may establish a VIP Referral Binding only if that standard referral binding has been in place for more than 30 days. A referral under the Promotion does not count under the standard referral program, and vice versa.
3.4. To participate, the VIP Referrer must share their unique VIP Referral link, code, QR code or VIP Trial Card with the Invitee. The Invitee must use or activate it and complete any steps shown on the Campaign Page. The VIP Referral Binding is established only when confirmed by OKX.
3.5. A VIP Referral Binding:
cannot be created by self-referral;
may link an Invitee to only one VIP Referrer;
cannot be changed, removed or transferred during its validity period; and
expires automatically two years after it is established.
3.6. A VIP Referral Binding may end earlier, or cease to count for the Promotion, if the Invitee closes their OKX account or if OKX reasonably determines that the binding is associated with fraud, abuse, duplicate accounts or other prohibited conduct.
3.7. Sub-accounts and corporate or institutional accounts are not eligible unless expressly stated otherwise on the Campaign Page.
4. Qualified Invitees
4.1. An Invitee becomes a “Qualified Invitee” when the Invitee:
has satisfied the criteria for verified VIP1 status or above under the applicable OKX VIP Program rules; and
maintains verified VIP status continuously for at least 50 consecutive days.
4.2. Time during which an Invitee holds VIP status solely through a VIP Trial Card or another temporary VIP trial does not count towards the 50-day period.
4.3. An Invitee counts as a Qualified Invitee for the Calendar Quarter in which the 50-day requirement is completed, subject to OKX’s eligibility, account and risk-control checks. If OKX reasonably determines at that time that the Invitee’s account is ineligible or presents fraud, sanctions, financial-crime, market-abuse or other material risk, the Invitee will not count as a Qualified Invitee and may be shown as “invalid” on the VIP Referrer’s referral list.
4.4. VIP status and the applicable qualifying criteria are determined under the OKX VIP Program rules and the information displayed in the VIP Referrer’s and Invitee’s accounts. Users should not trade, deposit or acquire crypto-assets solely to qualify for a reward and should consider whether any activity is appropriate for their circumstances.
5. Referral levels and rewards
5.1. A VIP Referrer’s level is determined by the number of Qualified Invitees credited to the VIP Referrer in the relevant Calendar Quarter:

5.2. Rewards are unlocked when OKX confirms that the applicable level has been reached. Reaching a higher level does not cause a VIP Referrer to lose rewards already unlocked at a lower level. Unless the Campaign Page expressly states otherwise, the number of VIP Trial Cards shown for a level is the total number available for that level and is not added cumulatively to the number shown for lower levels.
5.3. VIP Trial Cards are credited automatically to the VIP Referrer’s account and must be sent to an eligible Invitee within 90 days after they are unlocked. Unused VIP Trial Cards expire at the end of that period.
5.4. All other rewards must be claimed in the manner specified on the Campaign Page or in the reward notification within 90 days after they are unlocked. If the VIP Referrer unlocks a higher level in the same Calendar Quarter, the 90-day claim period for any previously unlocked and unclaimed reward begins again on the date the higher level is unlocked. A reward not claimed within the applicable period expires.
5.5. If a VIP Referrer ceases to hold the status required to claim a reward:
their existing referral history remains available as described on the Campaign Page;
unclaimed or pending rewards remain locked and cannot be claimed until the required status is restored; and
if that status is restored during the same Calendar Quarter, the VIP Referrer retains the level and number of Qualified Invitees already credited for that Calendar Quarter.
The original expiry period continues to apply unless the Campaign Page expressly states otherwise.
5.6. Experience and event rewards are subject to availability, scheduling, venue rules, age restrictions, travel requirements and any reasonable health, safety or security requirements notified to the recipient. Unless expressly included in the reward description, passports, visas, insurance, taxes, meals, local transport, spending money and the costs of any guest are not included. A recipient is responsible for ensuring that they and any permitted guest can travel and participate lawfully.
5.7. Rewards are personal, non-transferable and may not be exchanged for cash, sold or assigned, except that VIP Trial Cards may be sent to eligible Invitees in accordance with these Promotion Terms. If a non-cash reward becomes unavailable for reasons beyond OKX’s reasonable control, OKX may offer a reasonably equivalent substitute, having regard to the nature and value of the original reward.
5.8. Images and descriptions of rewards are illustrative. The precise model, design, itinerary, date, venue or other details may differ from those displayed, provided that this does not materially reduce the reward’s value without an appropriate substitute or remedy.
5.9. A recipient may be required to provide information reasonably necessary for fulfilment of a physical, travel or experience reward. If the recipient does not provide that information by the stated deadline, or cannot lawfully receive or use the reward, the reward may expire. Personal data will be handled in accordance with the OKX Privacy Notice and may be shared with fulfilment, travel or event providers where necessary to deliver the reward.
6. VIP Trial Cards
6.1. A VIP Referrer may invite an eligible Invitee by sending a VIP Trial Card instead of using a standard VIP Referral link or code. If the Invitee validly activates the card, the Invitee will be bound to that VIP Referrer under the Promotion.
6.2. Once an Invitee is bound to a VIP Referrer, the Invitee cannot activate a VIP Trial Card received from another VIP Referrer during the two-year binding period.
6.3. A VIP Trial Card confers only the benefits, tier and duration displayed when it is issued or activated. It does not constitute verified VIP status for the purpose of the 50-day requirement in clause 4.
7. Verification and prohibited conduct
7.1. OKX may verify eligibility, referral bindings, VIP status, qualifying periods and reward entitlement before or after issuing a reward. A display in the app or on the website is provisional until any required checks are complete.
7.2. Participants must not engage in self-referral, create or control duplicate or fictitious accounts, impersonate another person, provide false information, manipulate trading or account activity, engage in wash trading, evade geographic or eligibility restrictions, or otherwise misuse the Promotion.
7.3. Where OKX reasonably determines that a participant has breached these Promotion Terms or the Terms of Service, or that a reward was credited in error, OKX may take proportionate action, including rejecting or cancelling a referral, treating an Invitee as invalid, withholding or cancelling an unclaimed reward, or recovering the value of a reward already issued. This does not limit any other rights or remedies available under the Terms of Service or applicable law.
8. Tax and costs
8.1. Participants are responsible for determining and meeting any tax, reporting or other obligations arising from participation in the Promotion or receipt of a reward.
8.2. Except for costs expressly stated to be included in a reward, participants are responsible for their own costs of participating in the Promotion, claiming a reward and using a reward.
9. Risk warning and disclaimers
9.1. This Promotion is a marketing promotion. Nothing in these Promotion Terms or the Campaign Page constitutes investment, financial, legal, accounting or tax advice; a personal recommendation; or an offer or solicitation to buy, sell or hold any crypto-asset or financial instrument.
9.2. Crypto-assets are volatile and involve a high degree of risk. They may lose some or all of their value. Crypto-assets and related services are generally not covered by deposit-guarantee or investor-compensation schemes. You should consider whether trading or holding crypto-assets is appropriate for you in light of your circumstances and risk tolerance. 9.3. Nothing in these Promotion Terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or death or personal injury caused by negligence. Subject to applicable consumer law, OKX is not responsible for loss arising from circumstances beyond its reasonable control or from a participant’s failure to comply with these Promotion Terms, the Terms of Service or instructions relating to a reward.
10. Changes, suspension and termination
10.1. OKX may amend, suspend or withdraw the Promotion where reasonably necessary, including because of changes in law or regulatory requirements, fraud or abuse, technical issues, events beyond OKX’s reasonable control, or changes required to operate the Promotion fairly and securely.
10.2. Where reasonably practicable, OKX will give advance notice of a material change, suspension or withdrawal through the Campaign Page, the OKX app, email or another appropriate channel. A change will not unfairly remove a reward already validly unlocked. Where immediate action is required by law, a regulator, security concerns or circumstances beyond OKX’s reasonable control, advance notice may not be possible.
10.3. If a change materially disadvantages a participant, the participant may stop participating in the Promotion. Any accrued rights and any provisions intended to continue after withdrawal of the Promotion remain unaffected.
11. General
11.1. The English version of these Promotion Terms is the official version. Any translation is provided for convenience. If there is an inconsistency, the English version prevails to the extent permitted by applicable law.
11.2. If any provision of these Promotion Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
11.3. A failure or delay by OKX in exercising a right does not waive that right.
12. Governing law, complaints and disputes
12.1. These Promotion Terms are governed by the laws of Malta. If you are a consumer, this choice does not deprive you of any mandatory protections available under the law of the country in which you habitually reside.
12.2. Complaints may be submitted using the complaints procedure and contact details set out in the Terms of Service. Nothing in these Promotion Terms restricts a consumer’s right to refer a complaint to a competent regulator, alternative dispute-resolution body or court where that right applies.
12.3. The courts specified in the Terms of Service have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory right of a consumer to bring or defend proceedings in the courts of their country of residence.
12.4. Any claim arising out of or related to the Terms must be filed within one year after such claim arose. Otherwise, the claim is permanently barred, which means that the participant will not have the right to assert the claim.
