How do I send crypto gifts in IM on Pay?
The exchange crypto gift feature has been discontinued. However, you can still send crypto gift to friends or groups via OKX Pay.
Step 1: Create a group chat
Crypto gifts can only be sent to a group, so you'll need to start by creating a group chat.Here's how:
Open the Chat page in Pay.
Tap the plus (+) icon at the top right corner.
Select New chat, then tap New group.
Add at least two friends to create your group chat.
Step 2: Send a crypto gift to your group
Once your group chat is ready, you can send your crypto gift:
In the group chat, tap the plus (+) icon at the bottom right.
Choose Crypto gift.
Set your gift details:
Choose how many gifts you want to send (gift quantity).
Set the total amount you want to give.
Decide if you want the gift to be split evenly among your friends or randomly with different amounts.
(Optional) Add a custom message to personalize your gift.
Tap Send to share the gift in your group chat.
Your friends will need to open and claim the gift before it expires — and while there are still gifts available!

Why am I unable to claim crypto gifts in the group chat?
If the page shows region restricted or feature temporarily unavailable when you try to claim, you'll need to activate your Pay account first. For more details, learn more here How do I activate my Pay?
How do I transfer crypto gifts received in a group chat to my funding account?
You can use the Pay transfer feature to move crypto gift assets claimed in a group chat to your exchange account. Here's how:
Open the OKX app and select the Pay icon in the top-right corner
Select More > Transfer to exchange
Select the crypto you want to transfer
Enter the transfer amount and tap Next > Transfer
Complete the security verification — your assets will then be transferred to your exchange account
Once the transfer is complete, you can check the received assets in the corresponding account.
Note:
When transferring via the X Layer network, no network fees apply — OKX covers all associated network costs.
When making your first transfer via any other network, a network activation fee is required. Please review the applicable fees carefully before proceeding.
Network activation fees are collected by network miners, not by OKX. This is a fixed network cost and is generally unrelated to the transfer amount.
