1. What's deposit?

Deposit refers to transferring digital assets from another exchange to the OKX platform, similar to a bank transfer. For example, A gives B a bank card number, and B goes to the bank with this card number to deposit money into the bank account specified by A. This process is analogous to depositing crypto.

2. Are there any requirements for depositing crypto?

You need to complete identity verification before you can deposit crypto. To ensure your deposit is credited, please make sure the following conditions are met:

  • Both the sender and receiver must select the same [crypto] and [network].

  • It must be greater than the coin's minimum deposit amount, which can be viewed on the deposit page.

  • The contract address of the coin must be consistent.

3. How to deposit crypto?

App side: Tap on [Assets] at the bottom right > [Deposit] > [Deposit crypto] > Select the crypto and network > Copy the [Deposit Address] and provide it to the withdrawal party.

Web version: Click on [Assets] at the top right > [Deposit] > select the crypto and network > copy the [Deposit Address] and provide it to the withdrawal party.

4. Is there a fee for deposits?

Depositing coins does not require paying a fee; the fee is paid by the party withdrawing the coins.

5. How do I check the deposit address?

On the App: Tap on [Assets] at the bottom right > [Deposit] > then select [Deposit crypto] > choose the corresponding crypto and network to view the deposit address.

Note: you can select to deposit into Funding account or Trading account under Deposit Account as needed.

On the Web: Click on [Assets] at the top right > [Deposit] > select the corresponding crypto and network to view the deposit address.

Note: you can select to deposit into Funding account or Trading account under Deposit Account as needed.

6. How do I check the deposit networks supported by OKX?

On the App: Tap on [Assets] at the bottom right > [Deposit] > tap [Deposit crypto] > select the token, and you will see all networks supported for depositing that token (some tokens only support deposits via a single network).

On the Web: Click on [Assets] at the top right > [Deposit] > select the crypto > under [Select Network], scroll down the options to see all networks supported for depositing that cryptocurrency (some cryptocurrencies only support deposits via a single network).

7. What is a “contract address/token contract”?

“Contract address/coin contract” is not your deposit or withdrawal address. It is a standard sequence of numbers, mainly to help you determine whether coins with the same name on different platforms are the same coin.

8. How do I check the deposit status?

On the App: Tap the bottom right [Assets] > [Deposit] > [Deposit crypto] > Tap the three-dot icon in the top right corner of the page > [Deposit history] to view.

On the Web: Click on [Assets] at the top right > [Deposit] > and view under [All deposits].

9. Why hasn't my deposit arrived?

The arrival time for on-chain deposit is not immediate and mainly depends on the processing speed of network miners, which the platform cannot influence. If your deposit has not arrived after the expected time, please refer to here.

10. Why am I unable to deposit crypto / why did my deposit fail?

We're sorry to hear that you were unable to deposit successfully. Please review and click on the main reasons for deposit failure or inability to deposit below:

Account frozen or restricted: Please check your inbox and spam folder for emails from our team, and respond and handle according to the instructions as soon as possible.

Deposit and withdrawal suspended: Please wait until maintenance/upgrade is complete before attempting to withdraw. For more details, please refer to here.

11. Why can't I view old deposit addresses?

Currently, the deposit page no longer displays old deposit addresses. We recommend using the new deposit address for your transactions. If you need to check an old deposit address, you can view deposit addresses from the past 90 days in your deposit records.

On the Web: Click [Deposit] - [View History], select the date [90 days] and the main account history type [Deposit] to view.

On the App: On the Home, tap [Deposit] - top right [···] - [Deposit history], then select the crypto, date, and status to view previously used deposit addresses.

12. Why does my deposit/withdrawal address show as a high-risk address?

If you are prompted that the deposit address is a high-risk address when making a deposit, we recommend that you use a different deposit address.

If you are depositing to another platform or wallet and the address provided by the other party is flagged as a high-risk address, we recommend that you verify with them first or ask them to provide a different address.
